Vision

Peaceful Pastures Donkey Rescue strives to create a world that respects donkeys for the kind, intelligent and loving creatures they are and that values their wellbeing. We realize that while rescuing donkeys that are abused is our primary mission, this abusive behavior will never change without a shift in the way donkeys are perceived. Therefore, we focus a lot of attention toward educating the public locally and globally via social media, print and radio interviews, public appearances, tours, events, and through our website.

Goals

1. 1.We will continue rescuing donkeys who were or are at risk of being abused, neglected and malnourished. We provide them individualized rehabilitation prior to adoption into carefully vetted homes.
2. 2.Eliminating abuse and neglect of donkeys starts by changing perceptions. We strive to change how people think about donkeys through a variety of printed, digital and in-person educational modalities.
3. 3.We will pursue grants and other fundraising methods to improve our infrastructure, hire our farrier/equine dentist part-time, purchase an xray machine and increase our capacity to rescue more donkeys.
