Mission
To empower every learner by acknowledging their self-determined journey amplifying their educational potential and creating pathways to career opportunities. To better support students in mitigating and balancing school work and life challenges systems must be put into place that both streamline the college-going process and personalize support structures. UFCS works with traditional and public charter school districts community organizations and higher education institutions to implement tailored and systematic changes for postsecondary success.
Vision
UFCS envisions a future where every underserved learner aged 16-24 unleashes their full potential through targeted upskilling, unlocking rewarding career opportunities that enable them to support their families. We are dedicated to breaking down barriers, advancing social and economic mobility, and empowering these learners to be catalysts for positive, lasting change in their communities and beyond.
Goals
- 1.Each year, UFCS will directly support 1,400 underserved learners, including opportunity youth and justice-impacted individuals, and reach 15,000 additional learners through partner institutions, increasing progress toward college degrees, industry credentials, and educator certification pathways.
- 2.UFCS will engage ~700 opportunity youth and young adults annually, with ≥200 enrolling in a credential, postsecondary program, or earn-and-learn pathway, ≥100 entering high-demand career pathways, and ≥70% receiving wraparound supports that improve education and employment opportunities
- 3.By December 2026, UFCS will increase philanthropic funding by at least 15% annually, expanding strategic partnerships and strengthening the GRADegy data system to improve milestone tracking, program evaluation, and the scalable implementation of education-to-career pathways.
