Vision

We envision a Las Vegas Valley where every family — regardless of income — has access to an exceptional, individualized middle school education. As Nevada continues to rank among the lowest states in the nation for school quality, NVSI aims to prove that a small, inquiry-based model can close that gap, graduating confident, capable students prepared to thrive in high school and beyond, while serving as a replicable example of what accessible, high-quality private education can look like in underserved communities.

Goals

1. 1.By June 2027, NVSI will increase average student academic growth to 2.5+ years (from a 2025–26 baseline of 2.0 years) on IXL diagnostics in math and literacy, and raise SEL survey scores to "meets/exceeds expectations," through monthly project-based learning and structured SEL lessons.
2. 2.By June 2027, NVSI will strengthen organizational capacity by providing both staff members 20+ hours of professional development (up from current baseline), and by securing at least two new grant funding sources beyond current funders, diversifying revenue beyond the current ~80% tuition dependency.
3. 3.By June 2027, NVSI will grow enrollment from 26 to 28 students (full physical capacity) while maintaining a maximum 14:1 student-to-instructor ratio, and complete a formal Board evaluation of space, staffing, or enrollment-cap options to guide post-capacity growth decisions.
