Vision

We envision a vibrant and thriving community hub at Borinqueneers Park in Perth Amboy, NJ, where the legacy of the 65th Infantry Regiment, known as The Borinqueneers, is memorialized. Our vision is rooted in fostering Puerto Rican cultural heritage, education, and fraternity, creating a space that transcends generations and tells a unique American story. We see the Park as a sacred ground, not only commemorating the heroic deeds of US Army 65th Infantry Regiment but also serving as a symbol of resilience, courage, and patriotism. Through the construction of a dedicated veteran's memorial, we aim to document the rich New Jersey’s Puerto Rican experience. Our vision extends beyond the memorial. We aspire to be a catalyst for learning, understanding, and appreciation of Puerto Rican heritage, fostering an environment where all ALL American veterans are celebrated and embraced.

Goals

1. 1.Raise $5 million in support of Borinqueneers Park and the amenities within, including the Borinqueneers Veterans War Memorial by 2027.
2. 2.Successfully partner with the City of Perth Amboy’s “Project Team” in the design, remediation, and construction of Borinqueneers Park.
3. 3.Increase awareness of 65th Infantry and establish Borinqueneers Park as a cultural and educational destination for children, families, and veterans.
