Acacia Center for Justice

Mission

The Acacia Center for Justice is a nonprofit organization which builds, strengthens, and expands a network of immigrant legal defense programs through partnerships with immigrant legal services organizations across the country. www.acaciajustice.org.

Vision

Acacia envisions a nation with a transformed immigration system that embodies freedom from detention, due process, and equal protection, where every person facing the prospect of exile and community separation has access to meaningful legal defense.

Goals

1.Fully step into our role as a connector and convenor across our networks by protecting our existing immigrant legal services programs from external threats and enhancing capacity, where possible, through stakeholder engagement, collaborative problem-solving with our community of immigrant legal defense and services providers, and diversified funding.
2.Enhance Acacia’s visibility and credibility in immigrant rights space by expanding external communications, partnerships, policy work, and development initiatives.
3.Foster culture change internally through resilient, creative and collaborative approaches across programs, technical assistance, and resource mobilization efforts.
