Sewell Point
Mission
Sewell Point’s mission is to stand as a vital resource for individuals and families—especially those facing life-altering challenges—across the Chicago area, the Midwest, and beyond. We serve people not just from under-resourced communities, but from all walks of life, recognizing that healing, growth, and second chances are human needs, not privileges. We provide supportive services to parents and youth affected by trauma, violence, or instability, offering pathways to mental wellness, education, and workforce development. Through personalized support, safe spaces, and transformational programming, we empower our clients to reclaim their futures. Sewell Point exists for those who feel like they have no one. We are here to nurture the untapped potential in every person—the judge, scientist, doctor, or leader waiting to emerge—by creating an environment where dreams are not only protected, but activated. We believe that when people are given access to opportunity, resources, and belief in their own worth, there is no limit to the change they can create in their lives and in the world. Sewell Point envisions a world where knowledge, wisdom, and understanding are accessible to all who seek to uplift humanity. We aim to become a living library of resources, insight, and compassion—a sanctuary for growth, guidance, and generational healing.
Vision
Our vision includes the creation of a gated community of homes, where no person has to fear homelessness or the trauma of housing insecurity again. We are committed to providing the tools, education, and support necessary to prevent poverty before it starts—building lives, not just solving problems. At Sewell Point, we believe in raising thinkers and changemakers who will not only transform their own circumstances but help preserve life, promote wellness, and reduce the burdens of disease and despair across communities worldwide.
Goals
- 1.Expand the Say Yes to Second Chances program to provide record expungement, job readiness training, and employment pathways to justice-involved individuals across AZ, IL, GA, and FL—helping over 1,000 people annually gain a fresh start and reenter society with dignity and opportunity.
- 2.Launch Bet On Me youth centers in Chicago and Phoenix to reunite families, support emotional healing, address trauma and learning challenges, and equip youth with tools to graduate, attend college, and pursue their dreams—including sports, entrepreneurship, and more.
- 3.Grow the Future Roots Program to teach youth life skills, harm reduction, and Narcan training, while offering safe, engaging “Say Yes” activities that build leadership, boost confidence, and steer them away from gangs, drugs, and crime—empowering them to save lives and thrive.
