Goals

1. 1.Actors Renaissance Theatre was founded by Mary Ann Washington to address gaps in Memphis arts: limited opportunities for actors over 50, especially artists of color, and lack of affordable, culturally relevant theatre. Our programs expand access, representation, and community engagement through inclusive casting and low-cost productions.
2. 2.Actors Renaissance Theatre, a new Memphis-based company, is committed to intentional growth by expanding productions, increasing audience reach, and deepening community engagement. We will maintain affordable pricing, add performances, and create more opportunities for new artists and seasoned artists to participate in theatre.
3. 3.Actors Renaissance Theatre focuses on its core mission by producing original plays donated by founder Mary Ann Washington, reducing costs and strengthening impact. We prioritize culturally relevant, affordable productions and scale back non-core activities to remain mission-driven, efficient, and sustainable.
