Executive Summary American Hero's Retreat, INC. is a Christian and faith-based nonprofit organization committed to providing a sanctuary for veterans, first responders, and their families. Located on 30 acres by a serene lake in Avinger, Texas, this retreat offers an environment for healing, reconnection, and relaxation. Featuring short-leaf pine trees, wildlife, and tranquil lakeside activities, the retreat fosters family bonding, spiritual growth, and mental wellness. Our mission is rooted in preventing suicide, reducing family strain, and promoting mental health and wellness.
