18b The Las Vegas Arts District Fund positions Las Vegas as the Southwest's premier regional art hub—where working artists from Los Angeles to Santa Fe thrive through direct financial support, professional development, and access to collectors who discover contemporary art without cross-country travel. We build sustainable cultural infrastructure that transforms Vegas from entertainment destination into a credible arts city, creating economic opportunity for artists while offering authentic cultural experiences that exist nowhere else on the Strip.

Goals

1. 1.Launch Desert Design + Art Market as signature annual regional art fair to address critical revenue sustainability challenge and elevate local artists through regional exposure. Event targets convention tourism market (10M+ annual Vegas visitors with no fine art purchasing option), recruits 50/50 local/regional artists, and generates $180K Year 1 revenue to fund artist grants and programs.
2. 2.Scale artist grant program from project-based to sustained annual funding through diversified revenue streams: website business directory ($47K), paid advertising ($39K), Desert Design + Art Market ($180K-350K), and expanded Chalk It Down Festival. Increase grant accessibility by establishing transparent application criteria, jury process, and guaranteed acceptance for previous recipients.
3. 3.Streamline focus on three core revenue-generating programs: Desert Design + Art Market, Chalk It Down Festival, and website monetization. Consolidate monthly events into District Social series with strategic partnerships, eliminating activities that don't directly fund artist grants or build sustainable infrastructure for the Arts District creative economy.
