Vision

Anthos|Home is a nonprofit founded in 2022 as a new solution to the crisis of homelessness in NYC. Our goal is to remove systemic barriers to housing to move homeless individuals and families with housing vouchers into affordable apartments within two months and to provide support services to ensure their housing stability and success. We partner with government agencies, housing providers, and nonprofits to streamline every aspect of the voucher process through an innovative and replicable model with enormous potential to end homelessness and improve outcomes for thousands in New York and nationally.

Goals

1. 1.Anthos|Home was founded in 2022 by Leslie Abbey and Laura Lazarus, leaders with decades of experience in nonprofits, government, and affordable housing development. Their goal was to create a new way to move people with housing vouchers out of shelter and into housing faster after seeing clients in their organizations face overwhelming challenges trying to find housing on their own.
2. 2.Anthos|Home launched programs in 2023, and has scaled quickly to assist hundreds of individuals and families each year to find and secure permanent housing, remain stably housed, and succeed. We are now working to scale the organization to serve more serve more people each year and to replicate our success beyond New York City.
3. 3.As we work to grow our staff and scale our program, Anthos|Home continues to invest in our organizational infrastructure, administration, systems, and work culture to ensure that we are building an organization that is not only nimble and effective but that is also a healthy and sustainable organization and environment.
