Vision

The vision of Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue is to eliminate fear, abandonment, and suffering of dachshunds and dachshund mixes, rehabilitating those needing care, and ultimately helping these remarkable dogs find love and security with their forever families.

Goals

1. 1.No Dachshund Left Behind - We strive to help every person who reaches out to us to surrender their dachshund or dachshund mix. We also endeavor to accept any dachshund or dachshund mix needing rescue that comes our way, without question.
2. 2.Community Service - We seek to assist our community who call us for help with various animal inquiries. These range from rehoming turtles to lost cats and dogs of other breeds. We attempt to point our neighbors to the right resource for their needs.
3. 3.Sharing The Love - To be a financially viable rescue for years to come, RMDR must be known and seen by the public. To that end, we are continually seeking opportunities to engage the public with our rescued dachshunds and dachshund mixes at community events and RMDR-specific adoption events in all the states in which we operate. We love showing off our long little doggies!
