Mission

The Capt Sax Foundation was established by the surviving spouse and children of Capt John J. Sax, USMC to honor his life and legacy after his tragic passing in June 2022. Our Mission is simple: Honor Capt John J. Sax. Our Foundation is dedicated to supporting those who share John’s love and passion for aviation, ensuring his story is carried forward for generations to come. Guided by our mantra, “With All We Do, We Honor Him,” we remain committed to keeping his spirit alive by honoring his call to serve, passion for mentorship, and love for flight.

Vision

A future where John’s love of flight, service, and mentorship lives on through generations of aviation professionals who carry his integrity, curiosity, and commitment forward.

Goals

1.Increase fundraising capacity to expand aviation scholarship awards and broaden access to educational opportunities for individuals pursuing careers across the aviation field, ensuring more students are supported each year in honor of Capt John J. Sax.
2.Strengthen organizational capacity by growing a volunteer base and formal governance structure to support future program expansion, including mentorship, internships, and operational sustainability as the foundation matures.
3.Preserve and share the legacy of Capt John J. Sax by telling his story and amplifying his values of service, integrity, and passion for aviation, ensuring his name and impact continue to inspire future generations.
