TippedEars is a non-profit charitable organization committed to combating cat overpopulation through humane Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) initiatives and improving the lives of community cats in Compton, California. Our mission is to reduce the overall cat population, prevent euthanasia in the overcrowded Downey shelter due to limited space, and minimize the number of kittens suffering on the streets. We aim to raise awareness in the community on how to properly care for their feline companions and change the culture surrounding community cats. By assisting Compton with TNVR of their community cats, we are also helping Compton’s residents improve their quality of life. Many community members deeply care for their outdoor cats and TippedEars aims to assist them in providing available resources. Additionally, TNVR is proven to help reduce the rodent population, decrease fighting sounds, decrease mating sounds, and reduce male spraying which improves community member’s relationships with each other. TippedEars not only focuses on TNVR efforts but also prioritizes rescuing medical cases, kittens, and friendly cats from the streets.
