Vision

The performing arts are essential to the cultural life of a community, providing the opportunity for people to come together to create and share experiences that span thousands of years of the human experience. All performing arts require a suitable space to connect both the performers and audiences. Although the Tri-Cities has grown to >300,000 people, it remains one of the few areas its size that lacks a dedicated performing arts center. To meet this urgent need, Arts Center Task Force has dedicated itself to build and operate the Mid-Columbia Performing Arts Center (MCPAC) and has laid the groundwork for a capital campaign and public funding.

Goals

1. 1.Our primary goal is to build and operate the MCPAC, a dedicated and centrally located venue for entertainment and artistic and cultural opportunities, for our rapidly growing community.
2. 2.Provide a home for the dozens of local performing arts groups and midsize touring groups, give increased entertainment options for our area, and provide youth with artistic education and development
3. 3.Enhance cultural access and quality of life for the community, promote economic vitality, and support local arts organizations to collaborate, grow, and thrive.
