Mission
Our 501c3 Mission: B.E.K.I.N.D. with a focus on Compassion for Animals = Compassion for Humans = Compassion for All! We are a year-round youth humane education program that educates and inspires kids (ages 5-17) to be superheroes for all animals (pets, homeless, and wildlife) through acts of kindness. Our focus is dedicated to helping homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals, as well as TNR/colony care of unowned community cats. Our B.E.K.I.N.D. pillars: B – BUILD FUTURE LEADERS – Empower youth to develop compassion, leadership, and social responsibility, shaping tomorrow’s changemakers for homeless animals and wildlife. E – EDUCATE & EQUIP – Provide transformative humane education, fostering empathy, advocacy, and lifelong dedication to helping animals and communities. K – KINDNESS WITH PURPOSE – Engage youth in meaningful action, using their voices, creativity, and resources to drive change for animals in need. I – INSPIRE VOLUNTEERISM – Instill a passion for service, ensuring youth actively contribute to creating a more compassionate world. N – NURTURE COMPASSION – Cultivate compassion for animals = compassion for humans = compassion for all. D – DRIVE LASTING CHANGE – Create a ripple effect of kindness that transforms communities and strengthens the future for youth and animals.
Vision
Our vision is to inspire, educate, and cultivate a new generation of animal advocates who CREATE a KINDER, more COMPASSIONATE world for all animals. We strive for a future where every child has the opportunity to become a champion for animals, taking action to protect pets, homeless animals, and wildlife. Through humane education, leadership development, and hands-on volunteerism, we equip youth with the skills and passion to make a lasting impact. By fostering compassion, advocacy, and responsible care, we believe we can create a ripple effect that transforms communities. Our commitment to TNR/colony care, rescue support, and humane education ensures that animals are valued, protected, and never forgotten—paving the way for a future where kindness leads the way.
Goals
- 1.We are committed to expanding our programs to empower more youth with real-world learning that builds confidence, compassion, and leadership. Through humane education, hands-on rescue efforts, and service projects, kids become advocates for homeless pets, wildlife, and ocean creatures. Growth allows us to reach more communities, save more animals, and inspire lifelong changemakers.
- 2.Continuing our community work, we will develop new programs that expand TNR efforts and youth animal advocacy. Older kids will be empowered as peer mentors, guiding younger participants in animal welfare and kindness-driven service activities. This hands-on leadership fosters compassion, empathy, and responsibility, ensuring lasting engagement and a greater impact for animals and communities.
- 3.Our goal is to establish The Pawtectors Kindness Club for Animals in all elementary/middle schools (Humane Heroes in high schools) as afterschool programs. The mission is to build compassion, leadership, and confidence, foster critical thinking and teamwork, and connect youth to real-world animal welfare efforts, empowering them to make a lasting impact while developing resilience/empathy.
