Heroes United to Heal Foundation Inc.

Mission

Heroes United to Heal is dedicated to ending “Hero Suicide.” We plan to put an end to this epidemic by hosting suicide prevention retreats that provide hope and healing for veterans, first responders and their families in addition to educating leaderships and the public about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder/Injury (PTSD/I) through community outreach events for veterans and first responders. By doing this work, we aim to ultimately erase the stigma attached to PTSD. Funds raised are used to cover the cost of the one week Hope and Healing Retreats which provides education and introduces various resources proven to be effective but are not covered by the VA or many health insurance carriers.

Vision

HU2H aims to reduce veteran and first responder suicide by at least 88% through Hope and Healing Retreats that provide TBI and PTSD education, nature-based therapies, and activities such as equine therapy, hiking, wildlife photography, and fly fishing. By building meaningful connections among participants who share similar experiences, we help them find healing, hope, and the understanding that they are never alone.
