Mission

Sunshine Division provides immediate food assistance to families and individuals in need across the Portland metro area. Today, the organization serves tens of thousands of households each year through its food pantry service, weekly home delivery program, holiday food distribution events, and community partnerships. Sunshine Division also supports local children through Izzy’s Kids “Shop With A Cop,” providing new clothes for about 500 low-income student every year, and Sunshine Division food boxes are available 24/7 in Portland Police Bureau precincts.

To continue to expand to meet the growing needs for emergency food in our community.

Goals

1.Secure a new headquarters facility to have the tools and infrastructure that allow our organization to continue our mission growth.
2.Continue our home delivery program that was launched in April of 2020 as a response to the pandemic as a core and permanent program to reach households with transportation barriers.
3.Continue to serve and meet the record demand for our emergency food services that we have experienced at our two food pantry locations since the onset of the pandemic.
