Mission

The vision of Maryland Family Scholar House Inc. is to address of the needs of students and families that have been unsuccessful in the traditional school setting by offering a needs-specific, individualized learning experience. The mission of Maryland Family Scholar House Inc. is to provide a two-generation service educational model which integrates an innovative experiential learning curriculum, data-driven instructional practices, individualized academic support, and family-focused support services, which will lead to academic success, improved health and wellness, and the obtainment of a high school diploma ensuring post-secondary success for all students (COMAR 13A.03.02.03B). At Maryland Family Scholar House Inc. we believe that in order to disrupt inequity in education, a two-generation model must be used focusing on strong parent partnerships and layered support services.
