Vision

Tennis is a sport that is not accessible to children in low-income neighborhoods. The Northwest Connecticut Tennis Academy recognizes that lack of economic prosperity leads to lack of opportunity, which in turn creates an increased risk of poor performance in school, violence, substance abuse, and crime. By making tennis just as accessible to underserved children as it is to children in affluent communities, they will begin to see that other opportunities and advantages are within their reach, such as healthy living, healthy relationships, and college education.

Goals

1. 1.To establish an academy in Litchfield County to teach tennis at free or drastically reduced rates to underserved children in order to promote love of the game and accessibility to all.
2. 2.We are a new organization and we require strong support, sponsorship, and funding for our inception.
3. 3.With the help of local schools and community groups, we will identify children who would benefit from our program. Donors, sponsors, grants, and a gala will provide funds.
