Vision

We value the necessity of equity and representation in the fields of art and science and invest in the future of these fields by providing equitable access to our programs. We value creativity and imagination – two cornerstones in art and science exploration. We design our programs to support innovation and creative inquiry.

Goals

1. 1.JCAS has expanded onsite Summer Camps and After School Classes – After three years in a small, temporary facility, we are expanding our offerings and will serve more students by running additional, simultaneous sessions. (25% capacity increase in 2024 for all onsite programs and up to 35% for 2025). As a part of our growth, JCAS has also upgraded our creative technology tools.
2. 2.Develop Collaborative, Community-Informed Strategies - Work with youth and adults to more effectively understand define our impact, drawing on community defined aspirations needs in the arts and sciences. As result of our listening circles and outreach we have expanded our free and low cost engagements at our newly remodeled site, made deeper connections with our community and partners.
3. 3.In the last year, JCAS has significantly invested in management with the addition of a full-time Operations Manager and a program and gallery assistant. Both roles come at an important transition for the Center and allow us to focus more time rebuilding onsite programs and community outreach.
