The Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries (Friends) support the city-county library system through advocacy, volunteer services and fund raising. Their goal is to create stronger neighborhoods and a culturally-enriched county through accessible and diverse library programs.

Goals

1.The Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries sees a unique opportunity to support learning opportunities for students by changing the Summer Reading Program to a Learning Program.
2.Incarcerated people have no access to the Internet and books. Providing library books and resources inside the jail offers the opportunity to prepare for a healthier and fulfilling life
