American Friends of the Parents Circle Families Forum

Mission

American Friends of the Parents Circle - Families Forum (AF-PCFF) brings the stories of bereaved Israeli and Palestinian members of the Parents Circle - Families Forum to the American public to promote dialogue and empathy. Messages of peace are brought to American communities to bridge divides. Several visits a year are made to U.S. communities, including to conferences, religious institutions, and universities. AF-PCFF created a peace education program called “Listening from the Heart,” an online program to be used in universities, and local and faith-based communities. AF-PCFF broadcasts the Joint Memorial Day Ceremony each year, reaching thousands of Americans with messages of shared humanity and peace.

Vision

A future in which bereaved Israelis and Palestinians lead a global movement for reconciliation, inspiring communities in the U.S. and abroad to champion empathy, equality, and nonviolence as the foundation of a sustainable peace.

Goals

1.As the largest supporter of the Parents Circle, to expand access to PCFF's programs by increasing fundraising and strengthening support for Israeli-Palestinian reconciliation initiatives, ensuring PCFF’s life-changing dialogue and peacebuilding programs reach more communities.
2.To deepen public understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by elevating personal narratives of loss, reconciliation, and shared humanity through events, media outreach, and speaking engagements that challenge polarization.
3.To grow “Listening from the Heart,” AF-PCFF’s new peace education program created after October 7, 2023, fostering healing, empathy, and heart-centered dialogue on campuses and in secondary schools and faith communities.
