Mission
The approved mission statement is “Heroes in the Sky Foundation is dedicated to honoring the profound sacrifices of our first responders, active-duty military, veterans, and those who have tragically lost their internal battles. We create deeply personalized memorial ceremonies, featuring meticulously curated memorial boards adorned with name tapes and battle vest recognition, ensuring their legacies are forever cherished. Our mission transcends the ceremonies themselves. We are devoted to providing solace and support to surviving family members, while also working to dismantle the stigma associated with seeking mental health care. By raising awareness of the pressing suicide epidemic, we actively support and sponsor like-minded organizations and the families of fallen warriors. Through our fundraising efforts, we enrich the lives of veterans and first responders in our community, fostering a culture of remembrance, support, and understanding.”
Vision
Heroes in the Sky Foundation Inc. envisions a future where every fallen warrior is honored, every family is empowered, and no one affected by trauma, suicide, or loss suffers in silence. Through remembrance, advocacy, and open dialogue, we preserve the legacy of our heroes while transforming grief into purpose. We strive to break stigma, raise awareness, and create safe spaces where individuals can share their stories, rebuild identity, and find connection. Our mission is to foster resilience, prevent suicide, and build a community where healing, hope, and lasting impact thrive.
Goals
- 1.Honoring the fallen warriors that have died by suicide - 1. Honoring the Fallen: We safeguard the memory and sacrifice of these warriors through Memorial Battle Vest Dedications (honoring 19 heroes) and Memorial Board Ceremonies (honoring 60 heroes). These sacred traditions ensure their service is never forgotten.
- 2.Empowering Families: We give families of the fallen a voice, identity, and renewed purpose by sharing their warrior’s story and preserving their legacy. These efforts honor lasting memories while helping reduce suicide rates among those affected by loss.Our initiatives bring these stories to life in meaningful ways. Through all of our Media platforms ( Podcasts and Miniseries included)
- 3.Advancing Awareness and Prevention: The Foundation actively disseminates vital statistics regarding trauma-impacted populations who face heightened exposure to high-stress, high-risk experiences. By bringing these realities to light, we shed necessary attention on the increased vulnerability to suicidal ideation, emotional suffering, and completed suicides within these communities
