MS Awareness
Charities funding research, providing support for treatment and care, and general support services for those living with multiple sclerosis.
March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, often progressive disease that impacts millions of people worldwide. It’s considered an autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system, and there is currently no cure. The disease is unpredictable, in that individuals can have different symptoms with a range of severity, and even in one person these symptoms can come and go in any combination.
Treatment for MS has come a long way over the past decade, with many types of disease-modifying medications available to slow the progression of the disease and improve quality of life. But there’s still a lot of work to do.
Charity Navigator presents this list of highly-rated nonprofits working to further research and support those living with MS. Use our Giving Basket to donate to one or several organizations making a difference.
