The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: Continue to move towards the social justice model and away from the charity model: Rather than just provide goods and services to alleviate the immediate effects of poverty, we will continue to layer on programming that provides tools, skills, and transformative experiences that can address the root causes and can change the trajectory of a client’s life in some meaningful (even if small) way.
Goal Two: Increase financial sustainability through program growth and demonstrated impact: Continue to grow high-quality programming and demonstrate our impact through rigorous program output documentation and evaluation, thereby attracting increased philanthropic investment and preventing deficits.
Goal Three: Continue to deepen diversity, equity, and belonging: Increase diversity of our staff, Board, clients, volunteers, and donors across race, ethnicity, religion, age, gender, and sexuality, and build practices that support equity. We believe deepening understanding across differences will help to create a strong, vibrant community free from racism, sexism, and antisemitism.
