The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to have an extreme and unanticipated impact on hospice and palliative care. In March 2020, we formed an internal COVID-19 Taskforce to plan ane execute a response to the challenges. These efforts inlcuded: Resource Center on our website for hospice and palliative care clinicians, partnered with SWHPN to offer an interdisciplinary webinar, transitioned to virtual events, and delivered multiple letters to Congress regarding COVID-19 relief funding, telehealth expansion, medical supply shortages, PPE access, and additional COVID-19 priorities.
