Vision Statement
10 out of 10 points
The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking through articulating the organization's vision.
Brian said, “Not everyone can spend their life's work pursuing social justice. However, all of us can make a small contribution to those who do.”
Brian was a regular guy who had enormous gifts to share with the world. He was unique in his combination of intellect, sensitivity, quiet humor & unpretentiousness. Committed to social justice issues, Brian looked forward to a career in public interest law helping underserved communities. His days with us were too few, but they were filled with life, love and purpose. Brian left us suddenly and far too soon in a tragic hiking accident in 2018. He was 23.
Brian's days of social justice action have passed, but his legacy lives on with our Foundation and donor support. Donations to the Brian Lewinstein Foundation fund two nonprofit programs: The Brian Lewinstein Social Justice Scholarship at Berkeley Law and The Brian Lewinstein EJA Youth Justice Fellowship at East Bay Community Law Center.
