The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: The Pets goal promotes HSPPR services, initiatives, and available resources. The plan has focused on behavior, wellness, and education (namely through social media, blog posts, and media). Some topics of focus include access to spay/neuter programs, low-cost vaccines, access to care and promoting the mobile unit, education on community cats, and behavior support to reduce owner surrenders.
Goal Two: Resources aims to monitor revenue and expenses through cost centers and donations, identify new revenue sources, and improve cost-savings and efficiencies. Highlights include customer service training for donations, switching licensing providers, engaging former adopters as monthly donors, changing credit card providers, and using financial reporting to analyze variances and course correct.
Goal Three: The People Committee honors the crucial role of staff & volunteers in our mission and workforce stability. Over three years, we’ve monitored employee turnover and retention of long-term staff. Subcommittees focus on culture through onboarding and recognition programs, volunteer and outreach, wellness offerings, and engagement surveys to enhance policies and benefits.
