The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a significant factor in the disruption of life as we knew it. The High-income countries as well as Low-income countries have had to cope with soaring cases of COVID-19 as well as deaths due to the virus. The virus has hit low- and middle-income countries especially hard, causing even more hardship among those most vulnerable. Further, the collapse of Afghanistan, the earthquake in Haiti, raging forest fires in the western part of the USA, drought, and water shortages, among other calamities have made it more urgent that public and private organizations step up to the challenges. The Foundation's Board has actively sought out programs that address hardship, deprivation, and poverty. The challenges are huge, and it is our belief that non-profit organizations such as our Foundation can help play an important role in alleviating disease. in these trying times.
