Ratings are calculated from one or more beacon scores. Currently, we require either an Accountability & Finance beacon or an Impact & Measurement beacon to be eligible for a Charity Navigator rating. Note: The absence of a rating does not indicate a positive or negative assessment; it only indicates that we have not yet evaluated this organization.

    Adaptability Statement
    30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
Despite the set-backs that COVID restrictions had on international travel, RRFI were able to successfully pivot their work and prioritize building up their online training programs and fundraising support. RRFI managed to successfully train a new network member in Reef Renewal coral restoration techniques over video calling. This network member (Reef Renewal SVG) was able to launch earlier this year. RRFI were also able to hire a full time staff member to coordinate all network members and to start actively fundraising. Although 2021 was not how RRFI had envisaged their second year as an organization, progress was made in capacity building and fundraising for larger network member programs.
