    Adaptability Statement
    30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
Due to COVID-19, external changes had to be met for safety reasons. Traditionally a food program receives its services mainly inside in some shape or form. Due to the pandemic the face of the pantry changed; services were offered outside. Guest expressed different needs, some came with children, some with health issues and some with extreme fear. They all had one thing in common, they needed emergency food. Our services changed because it wasn't just about service, it was about impacting people on an individual level. Some people just wanted to talk to someone, that simple, and we provided that. We became family to many people who felt alone. We provided assurance that they are not just being heard but that we would move to make any necessary changes to help them feel more comfortable. We also assisted neighborhood organizations with food, assistance in serving food to their guest and applying for local funding and getting funding for food. We have adapted to change that has united more people for the greater good in form of help.
