The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
Full-Circle Learning, like other organizations, reinvented many of its procedures during the pandemic. These measures included: 1. Conducting needs assessments in countries directly served by FCL; 2. Raising emergency funds to distribute food in communities where lockdowns had left children deprived of school lunches and families starving at home; 3. Developing sample distance-learning programs; 4. Training global staff to customize online learning programs for their own regions; 5. Applying for funds to purchase computers and sending technology grants to assist vulnerable communities; 6. Replacing travel with greatly expanded multinational online collaboration and mentorship; 7. Adjusting staffing levels to end up with a hybrid online/onsite plan for building capacity in communities newly requesting direct service; 6. Diverting the funds saved on travel toward effective community impact grants (school projects generating broader community benefits that alleviate suffering, improve equity, and enhance life in vulnerable communities).
