Charity Navigator and Impact Genome Partner to Mainstream Impact Data

Collaboration streamlines impact data, enables informed giving, and alleviates metrics reporting burden for charities

April 27, 2023 - New York, NY - In a major move towards valuing impact in the nonprofit sector, Charity Navigator,  the nation’s largest and most influential evaluator of charities, and Impact Genome, the world's leading social impact registry, have joined forces to elevate the quality and availability of nonprofit impact data and help donors maximize the impact of every dollar.

The Impact Genome Registry enables nonprofits to report and independently verify their impact based on 132 standardized social outcomes. This partnership will allow nonprofits to seamlessly report their results just once each year, removing the burdensome nature of reporting. With this new approach, Charity Navigator and Impact Genome will dramatically expand the quantity of impact ratings on Charity Navigator’s site and ultimately increase trust between donors and charities by giving donors a better understanding of where their dollars go and what they accomplish.
