The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit our community, we were forced to close our doors temporarily, until the town of Waldoboro offered to help us distribute food out of the town office for several months. In the meantime, we were offered a new facility that would enable us to distribute food via drive-thru. While the town hosted our food distribution, we readied our new facilities by moving our inventory, as well as our food storage systems to the new location. We also invested in a drive-thru communication system that would allow us to sign in clients from their car, instead of face-to-face.
