    Adaptability Statement
    30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
Working to educate on the change taking place, ex. legally-with changes in law as well as knowing statute of law for each state SAR K9 CO-OP, INC. conducts searches in, certifying organizations changing testing and certification processes for handlers and dogs, etc. Due to 55% increase in amount of HRD call-outs so far this year, the Team has grown and certified more HRD canines. There was a change in leadership of SAR K9 CO-OP, INC. due to retirement and the president provided a flawless transition to maintain superior training for members and K9s while deploying teams for call-outs. SAR K9 has also changed the way they've had to solicit funds. Along with writing for grants or completing foundation proposals, donation boxes were distributed to local establishments and 1 major fund raiser is planned for spring. Through these avenues the goal is to raise the money all at once for the year so the Team can than solely focus on training, education and searches.
