The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: The need for wildlife services, public health partnerships, and conservation career literacy has not been fully met in Nebraska. NWR is positioned to increased programs, services, and collaborations to leverage our facilities and expertise to aid both the people and wildlife of our state and beyond.
Goal Two: As NWR grows to meets the needs of our communities, it needs to increase capacity to keep up the pace of demand. This includes increases the size of our staff, focusing on veterinary and wildlife care, internal administrative and financial support, and research and public health.
Goal Three: Many of NWR's core programs, wildlife rehabilitation, state and local agency assistance, university internships, secondary education programs, career literacy, and research and public health, are well-established and critical to our communities. Our goal is to continue to refine the efficacy of these programs and share best practices across our profession and geographical areas.
