During the periods in the pandemic in 2021 when infection and hospitalization rates were high Challenged Sailors continued to hold monthly Board meetings, most often both in person and using Zoom. These meetings were open to all who were interested. This helped to maintain our leadership continuity. Based upon the guidance of the San Diego Department of Health's guidance, sailing, an outdoor activity was allowed to continue. This was a real source of a sense of freedom and independence for our handicapped and disabled sailors and volunteers.
