The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: Philadelphia Montessori Charter School continuously adapts to the needs of our current student body while maintaining fidelity to Montessori methods. For this upcoming school year, Philadelphia Montessori Charter School is introducing a new math curriculum and a new literacy program for our students, along with continuing Montessori professional development for our teachers.
Goal Two: Philadelphia Montessori Charter School utilized ESSER grant funding to create long-term increases in organizational capacity. This includes the purchasing of classroom technology (Promethean interactive classroom whiteboards, Lu interactive gym system), Montessori professional development programs, and the expansion of staff in our operations, security, student health, and enrollment departments.
Goal Three: Philadelphia Montessori Charter School (PMCS) is proud to be a part of both the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools (PCPCS), an advocacy organization the fosters innovation and unity in local charter schools, and the American Montessori Society (AMS), who help ensure PMCS is able to incorporate Montessori principles throughout our school.
