The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: Farm Rescue has invested deeply in its own capacity to monitor, evaluate, and report the financial and social impact of its work. With the help of Mark Imerman, a renowned agricultural economist, Farm Rescue can now translate its key outputs, including families served, agricultural work completed, and volunteer contributions, into direct and indirect economic impact on families and communities.
Goal Two: Over nearly 20 years, Farm Rescue has served more than 1,150 farm and ranch families. As a key part our core programs, Farm Rescue surveyed each family upon completion of our work to identify immediate opportunities to improve. For our 20th anniversary, we will survey all of these families again to better understand the longterm impact of our core programs and ways to magnify it.
Goal Three: Farm Rescue is enhancing its communications, branding, and advocacy strategies to expand access to our programs. The primary obstacle to our growth is the reluctance of farm and ranch families to seek help. By using communications channels preferred by these families, developing messages that dignify families seeking help, and leveraging trusted industry partners, we have seen immediate growth.
