    Adaptability Statement
    30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
When performing our post wildfire cleanups in Oregon, In lane county we came across a local municipality who was very unsure of the volunteer cleanups and were trying to implement changes that would slow our process or not allow us to do the cleanups as volunteers. We embraced this municipality and invited them to come out out to see how we operated, allow them to offer any suggestions that they see. They were shocked and amazed by our welcoming communication. We proved one of their people wrong (in a nice way) on a cleanup procedure. That persons words were "Marc it looks like you have everything handles here, you know what you are doing and I am happy that you are doing this" He shook my hand and left knowing we were doing this correctly and exceeding the standards they set fourth. We work inside the lines and outside of the box.
